Biography & Education

Dentistry is an exciting yet challenging field, but I truly enjoy every day of practice. Periodontics in particular is a fascinating field that is constantly changing and updating. New research and technology is changing the way periodontists treat patients, with increasing comfort and efficacy. And while I am passionate about saving teeth, dental implants have allowed for treatment not possible in the past and is an integral part of my practice.

Aliyah Shivji, DMD

Endodontist
Endodontist

Biography & Education

I’m Dr. Aliyah Shivji. Although I am Canadian and grew up in Edmonton Alberta, I attended dental school at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where I fell in love with Massachusetts. After a residency program in New York, I decided to return to permanently move back to Massachusetts and am so happy to join the Great Hill Dental team! I enjoy painting, visiting museums, and even just walking around the area. There is no greater feeling than when someone tells you that you have taken away their pain. Taking away people’s pain with the work I do and helping them keep their teeth is what drew me to Endodontics, and makes my day, every day. My goal is to make the experience pleasant and worthwhile.

Kali Stewart, DMD

Pediatric Dentist
Pediatric Dentist

Biography & Education

I have wanted to be a pediatric dentist since I was 10 years old growing up in Tampa, Florida and I am thrilled to have accomplished that goal! After completing dental school and residency at Boston University I opted to stay in the Boston area to enjoy all the culture it has to offer. I come to work every day ready to bond with my young patients, quell their fears, and provide each one with a positive dental experience! I offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation during restorative treatment to help achieve those goals. Giving back is very important to me in my career, so I take part in a mission trip once a year to provide dental care to patients in underserved countries—with the added bonus of gaining both cultural and professional experiences. I have previously visited Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico and Nicaragua and look forward to many more such adventures!

I grew up in Tampa, Florida, but have lived in Boston for the past 8 years—with a one year stopover in NYC. I love trying new restaurants in the Boston area and spending summer evenings on the Charles River Esplanade. I get down to visit family and enjoy the beaches of Florida a couple times a year, and love travelling to new and exotic places. I look forward to skiing in the winter and showing my Floridian friends that I can handle the snow!
